Highlight: Garfield Bookstore @ PLU

This post highlights the Garfield Bookstore @ PLU!  They were very busy getting ready for their fall rush, and now we know why!  We have a lot of pictures to share, so take your time and grab some ideas from this great merchandising!  Also, prepare to be jealous, since they have so much space they set up a dorm room!!

The four-ways have underneath storage and can make even supplies look interesting.

I KNOW, RIGHT?! Well played, Garfield, well played.

This eye-catching large display is busy, but also neat and color coordinated, which helps the customer move around the display.

Staging beds and desks help sell merchandise and gives students ideas while seeing items in context.

Rugs, comforters and hot pots, oh my!

By having two different, yet coordinating color schemes, you can cater to more student tastes.

Put up a sign to keep peeps off the bed.  It's better than broken glass, and you know you've thought about it...

Anything the students may need is in this front section, including writing utensils and room sprays.

Have a random metal pole?  Make it magnet central!

Boutiques are the newest trend to hit college stores, catering to fast fashions and fast turnaround.

If you weren't totes jels before, you are now.

Using bookshelves as head boards not only add more visual impact to the display, but allow for more merchandising.

OMG! Garfield's fall displays were outstanding!! Thank you for sharing such fantastic pictures with us!  Stay awesome!

Do you have pictures of your college store that you would like us to highlight?  Send them to Huntjo@cwu.edu with your store information and we will share them!!

Highlight: Seattle University

This post is highlighting Seattle University! Their store is full of great stuff and new displays and they keep their shelves tight and clean.  It's very important to look well stocked, but also maintained.  If you have too much product, it can get out of hand quickly.  Making sure your merchandising is neat and full will help the customer find what their looking for and other fun things they weren't looking for at all!

Check out these displays for fun merchandising ideas and new products.

Electronic accessories are hot items, so keeping them visible and neat is key.

OMG just looking down this aisle makes me hungry!!

Laptop covers flow naturally into the backpacks on the wall.

Having an Electronics "base" is helpful to direct your customers to your products and services.

Tight and clean displays make shopping easy and fun. Putting plush on the bottom helps to put those items right where children can grab them...and then cry until their parents buy it.
Boots is the newest cosmetic line available from NACS.

Thank you Seattle University!  Keep those great displays coming and stay awesome!
